About Yana Rudkovskaya

Yana Rudkovskaya was born on January 2, 1975. She graduated from the Altai State Medical University as a specialist in skin and venereal diseases. Even nowadays Yana deals with cosmetology for she is the CEO of the Franck Provost beauty salons network in Russia. Yana Rudkovskaya has been running her salon business since 1998. For the period from 1998 to 2001 she had owned the network of beauty salons “French Beauty Studio”. In 2001 Yana Rudkovskaya got an exclusive right to represent the world famous Franck Provost brand in Russia and in 2002 she opened three salons of this network in Sochi. The salon`s opening in Radisson SAS Lazurnaya Hotel was attended by Franck Provost who was enchanted with its design and interior and said that the salon was one of the most beautiful in his worldwide network. On December 16, 2004 Yana opened the first Franck Provost salon in Moscow. In 2003 Yana established the Grand La Scala Fashion Group. It is now a network of high-class boutiques representing such brands as Gucci, Dolce&Gabbana, Yves Saint Laurent, Roberto Cavalli, DsquareD2, etc. Yana Rudkovskaya personally orders all collections. She attends all Paris and Milan fashion weeks shows, and personally sees to every order. Yana works with many well-known designers, who in their turn are always glad to invite her for participation in different fashion projects. The latest one is Yana`s modeling for a famous German designer Philipp Plein. Yana quickly became very popular among mass media. In 2004 the Italian magazine “Fashion” published an article saying that Yana Rudkovskaya was the first and the only business lady in the fashion business in southern Russia. In the end of 2005 Yana Rudkovskaya extended the sphere of her activity. She went into show business. Yana had been creating Russian singer Dima Bilan`s style and image before, and in 2005 she became his producer. It happened so that before going to a better world Yuri Aizenshpis (Dima`s ex-producer) asked Yana to accompany the singer at the Russia Music Awards 2005 which would take place the very next day. Yana didn`t refuse, she supported Dima Bilan during the ceremony (where he got the Best Singer and the Best Artist awards) and didn`t abandon him in his future activity. During the year 2006 Dima Bilan took the second place at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006, again got the Best Artist award and the Best Song award (“Never Let You Go”) at the Russia Music Awards 2006, and was also awarded at the Europe Music Awards and at the World Music Awards. The following years were no less successful for Dima. And 2008 has been truly his. That year Dima became the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, being supported by a virtuosic team of the Olympic figure skating champion Evgeny Plushchenko, Hungarian violinist Edvin Marton, and dedicated producer Yana Rudkovskaya. It`s true that Dima Bilan is a very talented singer, but we cannot underestimate Yana`s merits as she is the only Russian producer who helped her artist to achieve so much. Yana Rudkovskaya works with other artists too. In 2007 she had been producing a TV music show “STS zazhigaet super-zvezdu” (from Russian “STS kindles a new super-star”). The show had the highest ratings for the channel ever. Afterwards Yana helped several other young but very talented and promising singers. Nowadays Yana Rudkovskaya works also with the Olympic figure skating champion Evgeny Plushchenko. Having succeeded in so many spheres, Yana Rudkovskaya is always looking for something new. She even managed to play in Dima Bilan`s music videos and in the “Club” series on the MTV-Russia. In 2007 Yana Rudkovskaya has launched her own TV-show “Obnazhenniy Show-biz” (from Russian “Naked Show-biz”). And in 2008 Yana participated in one of the most popular TV-projects “Zvezdny Led” (Russian variant of “Skating with Celebrities”). 2008 was successful for Yana too. She got several awards at the most prestigious Russian ceremonies as the best and the most fashionable producer and as one of the most beautiful people in Moscow. In February 2009 one of the greatest publishing houses MK named Yana the Person of the Year. Yana is actively engaged in public activities and charity. She constantly attends governmental conferences on cultural issues. In spite of all Yana`s business, she is loving and caring mother of two wonderful boys: Andrey and Kolya. On September 12, 2009 Yana married figure skating Olimpic champion Evgeni Plushenko. In an interview with one of most prestigious Russian magazine Yana Rudkovskaya said: “I want Dima to be popular in the West and I want him to be the first Russian singer who will be awarded a Grammy”.
